Inergys’s vertical axis wind turbines can produce energy even when placed closer to ground

One of the main challenge facing humankind is to preserve nature and our environment. Indeed, numerous scientists warn us about the dire consequences of too high CO2 emissions. Global warming, desertification, restricted access to water resources will unbalance economies, generate conflicts and increase the risk of provoking new wars.

For that reason, not only common sense but also ethics demands that we collectively find new solutions to address those issues. A better use of available energy and avoiding waste is a good start, but it is not enough: we must as well increase the production of renewable energy, completely free of CO2 emissions.

With the perspective of capturing wind energy, horizontal axis big wind turbines are developed for onshore and offshore installations. Those work well provided the winds are strong and very stable. That is the reason why their blades must be placed really high and as a consequence those wind turbines are very tall.

However, to be able to produce energy closer to the ground with smaller wind turbines, INERGYS has developed a unique and efficient vertical axis technology. Indeed, even when they are placed relatively close to the ground, INERGYS wind turbines are producing energy extremely efficiently. INERGYS innovative wind turbines can be successfully used for rural or urban projects such as electricity generation for self-consumption (building air conditioning, supermarkets fridges, lighting…) energy production for smart grid networks, powering mobile phone antennas or electricity to operate stations for electrical vehicles batteries recharge.

The objective of INERGYS is to address this growing market for small wind turbines with efficient, reliable and competitive solutions. The potential for additional renewable energy production is huge and corresponds to very significant overall CO2 emissions reductions, which in turn will positively contribute to our environment preservation.
